Well some of you might have been lucky enough to celebrate with your valentines having a romantic dinner for two or perhaps something abit more chill?.
Alas i could not be with my beautiful hafu sweetheart on valentines day.
But none the less on Feb 14th, I celebrated Vday in a very “Rock n Fuckin Roll” way.
Since my 5th christmas when i recieved GnFnR’s Appetite for Destruction on tape, I’ve been wanting to see them.
So luckily got to see Slash, Duff & Axl doing their stuff live in Melbourne, Australia.
Me and my drummer/brother from another mother kranked A.F.D and down a couple of bottles of Jack Daniels (motorheaded Lemmy cocktails galore) before we ‘hit the lights” to the venue.
When we got there it was starting to fill up while the Aussie support slot was filled by Wolf Mother adding some background ambience of deep purplish type rock n roll.
Waiting around for abit before the start of the show wondering if the show will start.
The announcer was probably sleep deprived or had too much blow when he announced.
Hows it going SYDNEY!?
Pretty funny as we’re in Melbourne dude!
Guns and Roses open up the show with one of my fave tracks “It’s so Easy”.
They ended the set with “Paradise City”, which had a shit ton of pyro blowing up and lighting up the night at the MCG.
Slash killed it solo for solo riff for riff and Duff & Axl were on point.
Slash shreddin up “NightTrain”

Duffs cover of my favourite era Misfits with Glenn Danzig “Attitude” was awesome.
Axl pulled of the piano and vocals for november rain and was pretty solid for the entire show.
Was funny when Axl forgot the other axe players name and pretty much gave “Zero Fucks” about the onstage slip up.
One man highlight was when Angus Young of AC/DC jammed out 2 Tracks with GnFnR backing him, the two songs being “RiffRaff” and “A Whole Lotta Rosie”.
check the link below for a video i took of Angus and Gunners doing “a Whole lotta Rosie”.
Enjoy!!
